Can'tstop Won't stop

As Jamie slid the curtain between them so she could dress herself in semi-privacy, Killian still remained seated. He had to distract himself from the fact that the girl was only blocked by a thin sheet of blue crap and he could easily tear through it and embrace the girl he wanted so badly to be his. She was so close, yet so far away. This bothered the young man immensely as he bit his naive lip. Inhaling sharply, he heard the rustling of Jamie’s clothes being changed. Killian had never thought how much gossip their little endeavor would bring up until now. Oh, God. He thought. What will the gossipers say about this? Would they think they had more than just a cutesy relationship when the spent the night together at the hotel, or would they believe the truth? That Killian had become insanely sick and nothing seriously romantic was happening. Most likely not, because gossipers loved believing people had sex when they first met, but he tried not to care as much as he could. Mr. Humphrey was always a paranoid, cautious child who followed his parents’ rules to a t. Killian was not a good rebel and he knew it. Rule breaking just was not his thing. Leave that shit for someone who would enjoy it. But in all actuality, Killian had never even tried to break the rules, so how could he ever feel such a strong opinion for it? Maybe it was the fact that he was raised on a short, tight leash directed by his parents. It most likely was that reason, for any other would not make any sense. Killian was always up for something new, and adventures were a great thrill; but he just could not persuade himself that breaking the rules just once was okay.
Upon hearing Jamie open the curtain and revealing herself, Killian suddenly felt a surge of memories. Her outfit reminded him of that night. She was dressed rather skimpily and he was dressed modestly, of course. Quickly eyeing her, he noticed that her jeans were really tight. How could she even manage to breathe with those pants? He thought to himself, quite curious at this fact. Noticing he was staring a bit, he looked back up to her. “No!” He sternly stated, a little shocked at her initial thoughts. “You are not, by any means, going to your own bus.” He shook his head while standing up quickly (this action made his head dizzy for a moment). “How about...” He scratched the back of his neck nonchalantly while looking at her with a cocked head. “... we come back to the Caution Tape bus or something?” His words were confused, but trying dearly to be sincere. He wondered again what Min and Caleb would think of Killian’s new friend. Hopefully they would understand his method. He just could not let an almost successfully suicidal girl just wander around New York alone. She might actually succeed if she tries again and he was not there. That would be a tremendous amount of weight on his shoulders and he would never ever forgive himself for letting her go away and off herself like that. Not letting her even say yes or no, Killian grabbed her by her delicate (bruised) arm and led her to the nurse’s station.
“I’d uh...” He stammered, wondering what to say. “Like to check my friend here out.” He nodded, accidentally blushing at the double entendre of what he said. The nurse, who was smiling slightly, nodded and asked Jamie about her stuff and warned her about taking pills like that again. Waiting for a good couple of minutes, Killian wondered if they would ever get to get out of the depressing hospital. After a few more moments of shifting feet as the lady talked, he finally heard her say her goodbyes to the two and wished the two “good luck with everything”. This made the boy blush, of course, and he just walked, head down and hands in pockets, to the door. Quickly calling for a taxi, Killian tried to strike up a conversation with Jamie, but he could not think of anything worth talking about. Oh, good lord. What was the world going to do with this innocent boy? Hopefully give him a lesson in life. He needed one to open his eyes to the big picture that is called reality. One of the best things about the Shameless tour was that he got to learn about life and how fame really affects people. Himself, especially. The taxi cab came up quick enough and he opened the door for Jamie, smiling shyly as she got in, a charming smile on her own beautiful face. What was up with her smile making him feel weak? It was just a smile, but it seemed like so much more. Like a sign that showed that she was not joking when she flirted with him. He had a good feeling that her flirtations were not just for fun. They both liked each other a lot but neither would tell each other it yet, for they had just met. Thinking about this, he jumped in the cab and shut the door with maybe a little too much enthusiasm. Quickly apologizing to both the cab driver and his friend, Killian asked the driver to take them to the Shameless tour busses. More specifically the Caution Tape one. The driver was a little hesitant at first, but then he nodded and smiled, driving off and turning up his music a bit. It was nothing Killian would listen to all the time, but he tried to enjoy it (which was easy enough with Killian; he could find enjoyment in nearly anything). Smiling timidly, he clasped his hands together and looked over to Jamie through his shaggy hair. Bursting out in laughter because he must have looked like a fool looking through his hair, he clasped his hands together behind his head and leaned back, staring at the cloth ceiling for a bit. Sighing, he looked back to Jamie, that blocked feeling appearing in his throat that meant he was nervous and could not talk.
“I think...” he started. “That you will like my band-mates.” He smiled and shrugged in good humor. “Oh, they are great people. I have known them for a while, but it seems like I have known them longer.” He was basically talking to himself, but he did not mind. He knew Jamie cared for him and would listen. She was a good girl, no matter what people called her. Smiling, Killian inhaled a deep breath of stale cab air. Yeah, it tasted like sweat mixed with cigar smoke (which made him cough a bit when breathing in), but it was air. He needed air, obviously. The man put his signal on and turned into the Caution Tape bus location. Smiling with his teeth showing widely, he unclasped his hands and started jittering, in a way. He could not stop assuring Jamie how much she would like it in the bus, and he had to be getting annoying to her. Chucking some random bills at the driver and seeing him smile, Killian knew he had paid him right. “Have a good day.” He said out of habit. Even in the city he felt a reason to use his overly proper manners. Leading Jamie into the tour bus, he smiled as he smelled the mixture of everyone’s scents, including Killian’s own proper, expensive smelling cologne wafting through the air. Finally gulping in some much needed air, he jumped over to the couch and ripped off his shoes. He felt a little hot in the cheeks when he noticed he was wearing leather loafers. Some just had to stay classy, he presumed safely. He beckoned his friend over with a lanky arm. “Come! Come sit!” His words were quiet but enthusiastic. Picking up the remote and turning on the TV, Killian noticed it was on the last thing he had had on. Politics. How typical Killian. Quickly turning it to something more enjoyable to normal young people, he frowned a bit. Would Jamie seriously like him even when he watched politics? It was not his fault, really. He just had not given up his dream of being a senator just yet. A senator was specific, but any political job would have been good. All he wanted to be was important. Importance and power (he had a flashback to Jamie’s spiel about power last night). He could just see himself being powerful and influential, but he could also see himself cuddling on the couch with Jamie for a few eternities.
Notes: Duh Duh Duhhhhh! Killian once again is far too nice to people. Even smelly cab drivers. Jaysuuuss.
