` the rules
` the facts
- By joining Shameless, you are agreeing to follow all of these rules.
- You may have as many characters as you can handle. For every two female characters, you must make one male character. I know some of us can't play boys, but at least try. Please remember to log in on every account, makes the site seem active.
- We will not delete your account if you don't answer an activity check, but we will notify you, and if we get no response, then we will delete your account.
- Be original – no celebrity names (yes, that does include character names from television shows).
` the registration
- Your name is not your characters name. No ifs, ands, or buts about it, babe. You need a different account for every character.
- Signatures may not be over 450x450. Avatars may not be over 150x200. I do not want to see big pictures cluttering topics.
- This board is rated PG-13, which means if you can't deal with racy content, some drugs, violence, or whatever else will be posted up here, I recommend you find another site. You have been warned.
- OOC fighting will not be tolerated. You do it, and we have the rights to ban you from this site. You may, of course, fight In Character while posting, but fighting with a character's handler will cause trouble, and there will be consequences.
the application
- No Mary-Sue's. As this is an advanced board, we expect the characters to be well developed. This means there have to be flaws and points of weakness. Things they’re good at it, things they detest. Nobody’s perfect, not even me and Dems, which – I know – is hard to believe.
- Before your interview is accepted, do not post anywhere else.
- Your character must be represented by a person. Not a drawing, but an actual person. It can be an unknown model or a celebrity face. After you have chosen one, remember to claim it in the Face Claim.
- Whether you get accepted or not depends entirely on your application. Don't just rush through it – actually work on it because it can help you feel out who your character is.
` the bands
- Your bands can 'play' venues every night, but we will announce when a location's battle will begin, and each band will have a different thread to work on,
- Claim a canon. that's the only way to make it into a band, guys. But, who knows, there may be more oppertunities.
- What's life without fans? Yes, we neede those.
- Bands will break up. We know this. We will discuss it in plot with band members and staff, and, of course, the gossipers.
` the rating
- As stated before, this is a mature site. If there's anything you question the appropriateness of, mark the thread with 'mature content.'
- However, one thing we will not deal with here is graphic sex scenes. You must skip to the end as soon as the clothes start coming off. (:
- Cursing is allowed, but please don't make it a first language for your character or you. No one goes around cursing all the time.
` the rest
- God-modding is a definite no. If you don't know what that means, look it up. Though I have to wonder how long you've been role-playing.
- Each reply must be 200 words. Now, I'll make exceptions, and if you're a little bit under, I'm fine with that. But if you are a multiple offender, I'll have to question you're skills, and then we'll have to deal with those dilemmas.
[/li][li] Admins have the final say. No matter what.
[/li][li]Now, here is my only real rant. You may notice, we don't have an IC chat. Why is that, you may ask? Well, one time, I was on this site. I made a post, and no one answered for a while. I stayed on for about a week, and noticed, there were no IC posts, but the OC categories were thrumming with life, and the IC chat box was always active. Then I noticed there were plots, and gossip posts, but it was all based of the IC games and chat box. And so, they were stripping away the real foundation and integrity of RPing, and that is literacy, my friends. So I will not demean my site by letting it live of the IC board. Because that demeans the art of writing. And that's what these sites are all about, aren't they?
[/li][li] You may advertise for other sites, but only in the advertisement board, not on your signature, or in any of your posts.
